On this show we have the pleasure to have with us Mr. Alberto Arce, director togeher with Mohammad Rujailah of the much acclaimed  documentary “To shoot an elephant” (click here to download it).
This film was shoot in Gaza during the Operation Cast Lead of December 2008 . As consequence of the siege all internationals were banned from the strip, Mr. Alberto Arce and few other international persons were the only foreigners who were able to stay in  Gaza and witness what Palestinian civilians underwent.

Raytheon - the US defence software company that produces Patriot,
Tomahawk, Cruise and Sidewinder, missiles that have been used by Israel
also during Operation Cast Lead - is about to close its Derry plant.
This is a result of direct actions and campaigns run by Derry’s
community groups.
We had a conversation about it with Mrs.Goretti Horgan, one of the 9
women currently on trial for having occupied the plant. “When they sell
these arms they know that they will be used for war crimes. So I think
it’s legal to try and stop the production and the distribution of these
arms to Israel” she says.

The guest of this episode is Paola Canarutto. Mrs Canarutto is an italian member of European jews for a just peace network (EJJP). Founded in 2002, EJJP is a federation of Jewish Peace groups working and campaigning in 10 European countries against the occupation of Palestine and for a durable peace solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Recently EJJP had endorsed palestinian call for BDS, Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel.
